About the Author:
Kim was raised in Rhode Island. A former Tomorrow Fund "Kid", she endured and survived cancer during her high school years. Currently she works as a physicians assistant specializing in palliative care. As a cancer survivor, Kim is uniquely qualified to empathaize and build a strong bond with her patients.

She and her husband Rick have a nine year old son named Camden. Outside of her work in the hospital, Kim spends time watching Cam's soccer games, reading and taking spin classes. She lives with her family in Massachusetts.
