HOW WE HELP

Education & Outreach

The Tomorrow Fund supports Educational Seminars for parents on topics related to childhood cancer, as well as a Speakers Bureau to enhance public understanding of issues related to this terrible disease. Programs include:

  • Seminar Series – Presented by trained professionals and offered free of charge to Tomorrow Fund parents and family members, seminars include topics such as "Getting Through the Holiday When Your Child Is Ill," "Coping Skills For Parents," and "Living With Chronic Illness in The Family."

  • Remembrance Night - a private evening for families and friends, dedicated to those children who have lost their battle with cancer

  • Annual Children's Picnic, a day of fun for Tomorrow Fund Kids and their families.

  • School Visits - Visits by our Social Worker and Parent Consultant to the schools of children with cancer help teachers and peers to understand the ill child's situation and help to ease the transition back to school.

  • Speakers Bureau – Tomorrow Fund volunteers, including patients and parents, are available to speak to civic and community groups about childhood cancer and The Tomorrow Fund.

  • Informational Materials – brochures, posters, and The Tomorrow Fund Calendar, which features the artwork of 12 children in treatment each year.
